Fort Collins Museum/Library Park
Originally known as Lincoln Park, Library Park was
established in 1899 as one of the first city parks in Fort Collins.
Today, it is home to the Fort Collins Museum and the Fort Collins
Public Library. The Park is one square block in size, has a play
area for kids and picnic tables for relaxing under the large cottonwood
and pine trees. Dogs must be leashed and picked up after. A bag
dispenser is located in the Park for convenience. To utilize the
Park for events, family reunions, etc., please contact the City
of Fort Collins Parks Department to obtain a Park Use Permit at
(970) 221-6660.
The Fort Collins Museum has been collecting historically
significant artifact since the Museum's inception in 1941. The Museum's
collection totals over 30,000 artifacts including a significant
collection of folsom materials from the Lindenmeier site north of
Fort Collins, agricultural implements, household necessities, paintings,
clothing. The collection reflects the diversity and values of the
peoples of the Cache La Poudre River Valley.
